While growing up in the Eastern Sierra, a sparsely populated region in California, I had easy access to thousands of square miles of natural beauty, from alpine peaks to sandy deserts. Although I did not pick up a camera until more recently, I have always had an interest in photography, and returning with camera in hand has allowed me to view these wild places through a new lens (pun very much intended).
